In 2011, Rolando upset the political establishment to become Jersey City’s first Asian-American councilman. Since being elected, he’s focused his efforts on providing solutions and making the people of Jersey City the center of his policy priorities.
Fighter for Working Families
Rolando wasted no time to show that his only special interests are the people of Jersey City. He aligned himself with Councilman Steven Fulop and co-sponsored legislation to boost the pay of low wage workers. Rolando has called for a review of the JCPD’s operations in response to escalating crime and is a vigilant watchdog of taxpayers dollars.
Dedicated Public Servant
Rolando has served in local and state government, as well as the non-profit sector for many years. He’s currently working in public higher education, ensuring his school has the resources they need to educate the next generation of leaders. Rolando works tirelessly to address the needs and concerns of the community.
