Brian K. Everett resides in Gloucester Township within the Glendora section of town. For 27 years he lived and learned in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, with his parents and sister. As a graduate of Cherry Hill High School West, he went on to study at Rutgers University – Camden where he has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish and in Urban Studies, and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration. Brian is currently finishing his PhD in Community Development at Rutgers-Camden, focusing on modern political machines. Brian works full-time at Rutgers University – Camden as an assistant dean within the Honors College, primarily serving as an academic advisor for undergraduate students. He is a proud member of URA-AFT, the Union of Rutgers Administrators, and was elected by his union sisters and brothers as a 2024 AFT Convention Delegate. During the 2024 Convention, the AFT became the first union to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris for President of the United States. Brian is bilingual in English and Spanish, and is a proud member of the LGBTQ+ community. He has been celebrated by InsiderNJ’s Out 100 Power Ranking for influential members of the LGBTQ+ community in New Jersey for several years. He looks forward to advocating for greater transparency in state and local government, and finding meaningful ways to reduce barriers to employment and higher education.
