Jacqueline Weimmer is currently serving as the 2nd Ward Councilwoman in Bayonne, where she was born and raised. With over 60 years of family roots in the community, Jacqueline has deep connections to the people and values of Bayonne, Kearny, and Jersey City. Growing up as the youngest of six children in a family with humble beginnings, Jacqueline attended Lincoln Community School and Holy Family Academy before entering the workforce in New York City. Her professional career has been dedicated to the trust and estate planning needs of individuals with disabilities, particularly focusing on Special Needs Trust Administration. Over the years, Jacqueline’s hard work and dedication allowed her to advance in both the legal and finance fields, ultimately becoming the Director of Trust Services for Orange Bank & Trust, where she oversees the Personal Trust & Estates Department, as well as, the Special Needs Trust Planning Department and serves as both a manager and mentor to the teams she leads. Much of Jacqueline’s career has been centered around advocating for families with members who have varying abilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive in all aspects of life. It is this same compassion and expertise that she hopes to bring with her to the State Assembly, where she aims to fight for the needs of families, seniors, our veterans and individuals with disabilities across the 31st Legislative District. Outside of her professional work, Jacqueline is an advocate for abused and neglected children and has served as a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for children in the foster care system. Jacqueline’s background in law, finance, and advocacy, paired with her deep-rooted connection to Bayonne, Kearny, and Jersey City, makes her uniquely qualified to represent the district. “We have wonderful communities here, and together, we can only make them better,” she says. As she runs for Assembly, Jacqueline is committed to bringing her experience, empathy, and dedication to the people of the 31st Legislative District. She believes in a brighter future for families, children, and all the hardworking individuals who call this district home.
