Tamar D. Warburg of Teaneck is an attorney dedicated to serving New Jersey’s 37th Legislative District, where she was raised and is now raising her own family. Tamar’s parents have lived in Englewood for the past 35 years, where they raised Tamar and her four sisters. Tamar is a graduate of The Moriah School of Englewood, The Frisch School, and Yeshiva University’s Stern College for Women and Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. Following her graduation from law school in 2008, Tamar spent 11 years practicing trusts and estates law at Stroock & Stroock & Lavan LLP. In 2019, Tamar left private practice to become General Counsel of the Jewish Community Foundation of Greater MetroWest NJ (“JCF”). At JCF, Tamar works on matters related to board governance, donor-advised funds, supporting organizations, endowment funds, and the organization’s Centennial Campaign. Tamar and her husband lived in the Bronx for several years before moving to Teaneck in 2015 to raise their children. They are the proud parents of five young children. Recently, Tamar was elected by her local district to the Democratic Committee of Bergen County. Tamar looks forward to serving and advocating for all residents of New Jersey’s 37th Legislative District in the Assembly.
